Hope you like the new look. My exclusive contract with the CW ran out when Archangel Investigations was canceled, so I had to change the decorations. I've recently been hired to help out at NBC Studios. My work with Chuck has them interested in my services. As you can see, they let me use their style for the site redesign.
Well, I lied earlier about not sitting behind the writing table at Heroes. With the huge explosion of speculation on Heroes boards about the possible future, Tim Kring asked me to play around with some ideas about stories taking place in the Synthetic Future. My first attempt, the "My Firefly" series was put into Graphic Novel form, and viewable here.
"The World Entire", recently retitled, "The World Entire: Volume One: Cataclysm" has finished filming, and we're showing them online. I was very proud to hear that, through "My Firefly", they'd been attached to some very prestigious online awards.
Many of you may catch the Castville webisodes where the cast and creators of Smallville try their hand at writing episodes. The idea was so popular that the CW let me film a few of their early discussions of the direction of Season 7. Very humorous.
There were also plans for some Season 8 brainstorming sessions, but I'll just see what the new producers are up to.
Another project I'm working on is for my online fans only. As you may recall from the few interviews I've done, I got my start doing fanfiction. Well, just for old times' sake, I've begun a few Smallville Chlark stories. Naughty Chlark stories to be exact. I'm trying to develop myself as a writer. I've experience recent burnout from trying to take on one large project at a time. So, following the advice of one of my writer friends, I've started several stories, and the ones that I get the most encouragement and inspiration for I'll continue.
Okay, I've stalled enough. For those of you who think that I've been kind of MIA in the screenwriting arena, there's a reason. I was auditioning (so to speak) for a very ambitious project. Since it's been announced and is still very much in production, Warner Brothers is developing for television a Harry Potter TV series. Don't get too excited; it's slated to air in probably 2012. From time to time, I'll be unusually quiet; it's probably because I'm being pulled to a brainstorming session in LA.
So, the Beauty and the Geek series I produced is not getting the ratings CW was expecting, so they've taken off the reruns. They're free to stream over here.
